Well, I miscalculated! One day left before the PDC Tour breaks up for Christmas. Still, I'm sure you all new that and were just testing me.
A good night last night, going 2-1, putting us at 16-13and in profit to the tune of +10.25 units. So, we're going well tonight.
Apologies that this post isn't the usual standard of the others, but I'm sure you've guessed that today caught me on the hop and I was almost caught short by this!

Mark Walsh versus Kevin Painter.
Both men are in some of the form of their lives and this will be a classic. Painter's form has come out of nowhere, while Walsh has been sniffing about for a bit, but never seemed to be able to do it on TV. The bookies make Painter favourite, but I think it's closer than they think. I like Walsh here, and I like the maximum total to be on the high side, given both men seem to be scoring quite heavily at the moment, and this match could go all the way.
Mark Walsh to beat Kevin Painter: 13/10 @ Betfair.

James Wade versus Jelle Klaasen.
I didn't expect to see Jelle Klaasen here. In fact, I don't think many people did given the Dutchman's form. He's up against it facing James Wade and this is going to be a lot tougher for both men. Wade looked average in the first round, but that had a lot to do with playing such a slow opponent, as has happened to him in the past when playing the likes of Justin Pipe. Playing Klaasen, he'll be able to get into a rhythm and he generally enjoys playing the faster players. I can't see Klaasen putting up too much resistance here, but there's no value to be had in the winner market.
However, the 180s line looks to be a little high for me, given Klaasen and Wade's performance in the first round, so we'll take a little dabble there.
Total 180s in the James Wade versus Jelle Klaasen match under 8.5: 10/11 @ 888.com.
Recommend: 1.5 units.
Steve Farmer versus Kevin Munch.
The most anticipated match of the second round finishes off the action tonight! No, this should be an interesting match if nothing else as Ronnie Baxter's conqueror takes on the man who more or less got a bye thanks to Denis Ovens' injury. Munch actually looked handy in legs he won before Ovens retired, but obviously that means nothing. That being said, the bookies have this as a foregone conclusion, but I don't. While Farmer is quite handy, he won't have it all his own way and I can see Munch putting up a bit of a fight, even if he doesn't win. The total number of sets here is where we're going for a dabble this time, as I reckon both men will get at least 2 sets off each other, and with the line at 5.5, we're going in here.
Total number of sets in Steve Farmer versus Kevin Munch match over 5.5: 8/11 @ 888.com.
Recommend: 3 units.
And that's all for now. Apologies for the short write-up compared to previous nights, but we'll be back on the 27th for some bumper darts action.
