Two weeks left in the 2014 Premier League Darts regular season, and there's still two spots left to play for, with Phil Taylor having almost secured the third play-off spot, with Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld having already secured their spots. This is the first week with only four matches on the card, and it's a great line-up at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle, which, as an aside, if my favourite city in the Premier League Darts season. Tonight, Gary Anderson will face Dave Chisnall with the Scotsman needing a positive result to keep his play-off hopes alive. Adrian Lewis plays Robert Thornton in a battle of the play-off also-rans. Peter Wright has the unenviable job of facing Phil Taylor while needing a win to keep his play-off hopes well and truly alive - Taylor needs a win to secure his play-off spot. The other match of the evening is the battle between first and second - MvG vs RvB.
