It was a quiet start to the 2013 PDC World Championship last night, but it could have been explosive if Gino Vos had managed to take the 3rd set. But it wasn't meant to be, and the night was a bit of a shocker aside from that. We had a 3-0 win for Robert Thornton, a 3-0 win for Paul Nicholson and a 3-0 win for Kevin Painter, along with that 3-1 win for Adrian Lewis. The fact the prelim game almost ended in a whitewash summed up the one-sided matches.
The Free Darts Betting Tip got off to a winning start, with Co Stompe scoring more 180s than Paul Nicholson, even though he lost 3-0. So the Free Darts Betting Tip is 1-0 with a profit of +2.44 units. The Premium Picks had a great night, too, going 2-1 and with a profit of +3.94 units.
As always, I'm running a Premium Picks service, which will go for the entire PDC 2013 World Championship, from the first dart thrown tonight, to the last dart thrown by the 2013 World Champion.
The Premium Tips have been running for five tournaments and these have been the results so far:
Grand Slam of Darts: +23.35 units.
PDC World Grand Prix: +4.26 units.
PDC World Matchplay: +16.92 units.
PDC UK Open: +7.62 units.
PDC Premier League: -18.43 units.

We've got a great new partnership going with the good people at Victor Chandler. So if you fancy having a bet on the outright market, they will refund your bet up to £50 if Phil Taylor goes on to win the PDC 2013 World Championship. I've got a few outsiders, and my favourites are Stuart Kellet and Dean Winstanley for a big price, considering their quarter of the draw is, perhaps, the weakest. Get involved and get a bet on the outright market here.
And, as always, I'll be running the Free Darts Betting Tips.
