Well, we went 2-1 and were narrowly beaten on the highest checkout to make it a perfect Sunday. C’est la vie! That’s darts. Anyway, as expected, it’s the Phil Taylor Benefit Tournament and, barring a disaster, The Power will make this 3 out of 3 in the Grand Slam of Darts. Still, we’re hoping to go out with a bang. So, here is our last post for this tournament.

Grand Slam of Darts Day Nine Afternoon Session Tips

Hitting the bar once again with our selections. Typical. The only one we didn’t have a sniff on was Painter to beat Barney. The real Barney turned up and sent Painter home. Still, we have 3 matches left, two sessions of darts and the first match starts shortly, so without further ado, here are our selections.

Grand Slam of Darts Day Eight Evening Session Tips

Well, what can I say? James Wade trowing for the match and gets his throw disrupted by the crowd every time he’s about to throw a dart. When Wade claims it’s poor form because he’s trying to earn a crust, the same can be said for us. We try to eek out a win and the crowd ruin it for us. We hit the bar twice and got one convincing winner. We’ve got to put that behind us and move onwards and upwards for the Grand Slam of Darts quarter-final matches. So, without further ado, here are our picks for the first two quarter-finals to be priced up by the bookies.

Tony O’Shea +8.5 legs vs Phil Taylor: 11/10 @ Ladbrokes.
Recommend: 2 units @ 11/10.

Kevin Painter to beat Raymond van Barneveld: 2/1 @ Blue Square.
Recommend: 2 units @ 2/1.

We’ll be back tomorrow afternoon once the bookies have priced up the two other semi-finals and we get a chance to have a proper look at them, but these are two solid picks for the evening session.
